Track Event @ Sebring Raceway with Track Guys

The 10th Annual Camp Steeda by Track Guys - Open to ALL Car makes & models @ Sebring Raceway

Dates, May 22-23, 2010 (Saturday & Sunday)

Cost is $400 for both Saturday and Sunday.

1. We have added the Track Guys Test Drive. For $40 a person can sign up for the test drive which allows them to attend all the classroom sessions, participate in the noon parade lap and then get one session on track with a Track Guys Instructor riding along. We are only offering this on Saturday.

2. Saturday Dinner will be at the Gallery of Legends. This is the new facility build at the end of pit road.

3. High Performance Driving School Insurance. Track Guys has teamed up with a company that will cover your car for damage while attending a Track Guy event. Go to http://hpdeins.lockto... to learn more about this coverage and to purchase it. Note: Track Guys does not receive any compensation for offering this coverage, but provides the opportunity for participants to purchase the coverage as a service.

4. While safety is our primary concern and driving a convertible on a road course without roll over protection does add a degree of risk we will allow participants to run convertibles without roll over protection in both of the solo groups, intermediate (group 3) and advanced (group 4). An extra wavier will be needed at Tech.

5. An all Ford Car show. More details to follow on this, but get the word out to your Ford friends.

the best bargain in track events is THE TEST DRIVE for $40.00. anyone could schedule a whole weekend around this one drive. the stories at the dinner banquet were dominated by guests who attended the classes and drove this one session. even the instructors were excited (scared)... it rained only during this session. it did not phase my student she was thrilled .

This is a fun event. Lots of track time and the banquet is a hoot! It will sell out so sign up asap.

arrived in sebring friday afternoon at the host hotel. registration went smoothly, also got tech out of the way. saturday morning after instructor meeting we were assigned one student each, 34 total. my student is a drift champion, my first job, no drifting. after session was over a student (who owned a 427 rousch) asked if i could take him for a ride. i jumped in and wow two cars down and it is still the fisrt hour. i then drove my friend tony's mustang. and then at lunch went out as a passenger in a bodurant mustang/novice driver. sunday seemed easier i went out on track behind a new camaro/custom lsi package. he would not give me a pass signal, he pulled me down the straights. we came up on a silver gt and the camaro hesitated i saw the pass signal and and slipped by him(giving him room i went wide) i felt bad about passing him without a signal i gave myself a black flag and went into the pit.

great event a to go to event for next year lots of track time. I will be going next year this was 2nd year in a row

Track Guys really do a great job on their events. 4 sessions per day and a banquet on Sat night. Nitto Tire sponsored the event and they gave away 11 sets of NT-01 tires. Steeda Autosports and TMS Autosports also were on hand and gave away lots of Hawk Track Pads and Motul 600 Brake fluid. SCT was also on hand and gave away tuners. Lot's of gift cirtificates and the food was great also. This is an annual event that comes around every May so look into the next one.
