Autocross Event with Gulfcoast Autocrossers - Points Event #2

Buckingham Airfield (map)

This Sunday event is the Championship Points Event #2.
Gates open at 7:30 am
Registration is 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Course closes for walking at 9:30 am
Driver's meeting at 10:00 am sharp

Cost is $30 per driver and includes lunch + $1 Gate fee. Registration is day of the event only. Go to the RV before 8 am.

This is a points event towards year end Championship trophies.

Driving from the East coast, allow about 2 hours for the drive.

Helmet is required. (M or SA2000 or newer)

Bike, roller blades, electric scooters allowed

It was a good turn out and great weather...a bit cooler in the morning but not too bad. In BSP, which my car is classed in, was tremendous competition. Of the four cars in BSP we all had a best time of less than 1 second between us. David Schnoerr took first place with a 69.019 and I took second with a 69.130. That's .111 of a second!!!! David's and my BMW M3 took the top two places and a pair of 350Z took third and fourth. The course was fast and not very technical. 3rd gear was used quite often. Look for the next event in the first weekend of March.
