ERME 2-For-1 Offer - Terms & Conditions

1. You must be a TrackWeekend.com member. Your friend must also be a TrackWeekend.com member.

2. Both drivers must register for the event through ERME’s website. This is important so that ERME have complete driver information on both drivers.

3. First driver registering will be charged the full amount ($249, or $299 for novice). Second driver may enter a dummy credit card number when registering (CC# 000000000000000). If an intermediate or advanced solo driver registers with a novice driver, then the 2-for-1 price will be the novice's price of $299.

4. BOTH drivers must note upon registering that they are participating in the TW 2-for-1 offer AND list the name of the friend registering with them.

5. Be sure that both drivers RSVP “yes” on the event page on TrackWeekend.com, and note who their 2-for-1 buddy is.

ERME will verify that those registering for the 2-for-1 are TrackWeekend.com members and that both people are fully registered for the event.

What if you don’t have a friend you can talk into registering with you?
No problem! Simply RSVP for the event here and use the message board on this page to tell people you’re looking for a 2-for-1 buddy! That’s right – let TW work for you! smile

*NOTE: The free event is a FULL registration. It is not for a 2nd driver for the same car, and you're not splitting track time with your friend. You will get full track time in your own car. smile

Hi everyone, looks like we still have some people needing a 2-for-1 buddy for this event. If you already found someone, please update your status for the event. If you're still looking, please check to see who else needs a two-fer pal.

This is going to be a very big event and one I'm very excited about. If there are any new drivers (to HPDE) and you have questions about getting your car ready or about the HPDE track events in general, please feel free to post them here, or contact me.

To NEW drivers. This is my 2nd event. Carlos and Juan go way beyond to help new drivers get started. I was completely lost and overwhelmed for my first event. If you have ANY question... just ask. Carlos and Juan probably have answered them 1000 times already.

Aldo, I believe there will be about 35 to 40 cars per group, but Brad from ERME will hopefully chime in and let us know. Schedule for this event will be posted on the ERME site and on this page by this Friday. Garages are free but they are on a first-come basis. TW usually reserves garages for its members, but not for this event due to the number of TW participants. If you are a NEW driver, please contact one of the organizers so we can make sure you don't get lost in the crowd.

Aldo, contact us if this is your very first track event. We want to make sure you have great first experience at the track and you don't get lost in the crowd or feel overwhelmed. There will be a lot of information to take in and your adrenaline will be flowing at 100 mph. This goes for anyone attending their first event, or even their second. Anyone wanting a little mentoring into the sport :)

Due to an overwhelming response to this event, the Novice Group is tentatively Sold Out. To be placed on the Novice waiting list: email registrar@erme.us
We are in need of additional instructors. If you or someone you know is a qualified instructor with another club, please go to the registration page at www.erme.us or email bklein@erme.us

Attention all HPDE Instructors: ERME needs Instructors for August 28th at Homestead. We are swamped with "first time" Novices. Don't shut them out! If you would like to contribute to the growth of track day events in South Florida, come out and teach the "Newbies" what you have learned over the years. Remember your first time on a road course? Did your instructor make you want to come back? If you answered "No", you either learned the value of a good instructor, or you would not be reading this.

This event is only a couple of days away, you guys ready? I've posted the event and run group schedule on this page. Looks like the 2nd to last session will be shared by Novice & Intermediate Solo drivers. Does this mean we'll have to play nice? We're looking at setting up shop around garage #24. Be sure to stop by at noon for our 2-event give-away! Questions? Send them over.

They ARE first come, first serve... The other garages are taken by FARA for the races. That's why you need to get there early or you'll be parking in the sun...

Also, novices dont necessarily need garages as they will not likely be bringing other tires, tools, etc...just because you park your car behind the garages doesnt mean you cant hang out between sessions in the shade in the garages with everyone else.

We are less than 1 day away from this incredible event. I would like to address some of your issues and questions.
I have been working non-stop with FARA & HMS in regards to the garage issue. We are close to securing garages 17-30. This gives us 56 garage spaces. This should accomodate almost all of the race cars & cars that will be changing tires. All other cars can pit directly across from our garages. I will be at HMS Friday to finalize the details that work best for all ERME & TW drivers.

HI All, For those hwho haven't been to the track let me mention about the difference between Garages and whether you are in the shade. IF you are truly working on the Car (Changing tires etc then a garage is important. If you are driving up in your daily driver and running on streets, then you are fine parking adjacent to the garages in the paddock, grab your folding chairs and come in and hang out in the garages with the rest of your fellow Car nuts. Nobody is sitting out side in the sun.

For first timers, Please look at the newbie message board tips: Things that will ruin your day:

Not enough brake pad left (if you are low at all replace or bring spares)
No Brakes, Have your brakes bled with street fluid youwill likely boil your brake fluid. The Older your brake fluid the higher the water content so it is more likely to boil.

    Not enough tire tread

Any cooling issue, if it runs hot on the street you are boiling on the track
Tire pressure, ask any of us for tips

That was fun yesterday. As for the traffic, I thought everyone in B and C group were great.
Also, to the Trackweekend guys, it was really cool to see you raffle off two driving events. I am glad you set this group up. I know a lot of us really like this forum. It is a great way to meet and stay in touch with others in the sport,

I had a Kick Ass day yesterday as well.

Although I don't mind saying that some of the FARA drivers were driving like total assholes!! They came out in the beginner group, passing everywhere, including the turns, no point byes what so ever. It really left a bad taste in my mouth about sharing the track with them.

My student drove great and I have no problem signing him off of solo.

    Thanks for everything guys!

There was a bit of traffic in the earlier sessions, but for the last session (B&C combined) I felt like I had the entire track to myself. I had to start making sure the corner workers were still there and that I hadn't missed the checkered flag to come in. I still gave plenty of point bys being one of the slower cars out there but that last session felt empty.

Second that. I had a problem with a FARA racer or two when I was instructing in the novice sessions. Those guys must not have taken the time to realize the effect they have on an absolute novice who is there because her husband convinced her to give it a try and who is already nervous about running in traffic. I don't see anyone benefiting from the racers running in the novice group; but if they do they should respect the passing rules and give the new people some respect.
