We offer up a comunity grill and we all bring food to put on it . AKA burgers brats moose Its all good... We also try to remember to bring buns condements plates napkins etc and at times there may even be a a salad or two We are all trying to be healthy these days POT LUCK = birng something Birthday Cake sounds good to me and Lisa knows I will bring the milk On top and turning the oposite direction from everyone else
Juan if you are planning on us getting a good view of the rear of the car may I suggest you do stretching exercises on that left arm. (says the guy with 175 hp)
a dinner saturday night would be awesome, Friday however is my wifes birthday, I may get in trouble if I skip out on her. maybe
oh, them sound like fighting words...
:-) well, as a disclaimer, it will be my first time at PBIR... Hey, I'm on top!
Juan, the track is so easy you will have the line down on your out lap. There are really only two places on the track that require any thought, for me this event is about the great people at GCR PCA, they put on a great event and really are top notch organizers.
now if we could just get a petition to let me out at night without turn signals, or headlights.
Super, then we're having dinner at the track with the PCA guys - Pot-luck - bring a dish, or something. Did I mention we're having cake to celebrate TW's 1-year anniversary? Sean, Lisa will be bringging chicken salad and a pasta salad. She says don't forget the milk :)
(M3 back on top).
does anyone need any local knowledge as I live about 15 minutes from the track
LOL - Juan needs a room for the night, and he can't stay with me in Delray Beach because he's alergic to my dog.
Well, aside from the shelter...how about a gas station & somewhere to have breakfast early in the morning?
Juan
If you take the pike exit PGA Blvd Make a right There is a Starbucks in a large Publix parking lot They open early and have fresh breakfast goodies
Take PGA to the end about 4 miles heading west Make a right This is the road PBIR will be a right off of There is a Shell on the right about one mile before the track
See you at he track today ? give me call
All
Looks like my friend Brain has shown up!!!
What he fails to tell you in his 175 RWHP claim is that his car weighs less that Juan and I in a side by side GO-KART!
He is also a paid driver and paid coach.....and very very fast
I alos believe he has ESP as the fisrt time we met he look at my car and told me what the car was going to do in my next session at Sebring Yes it did it He can explain
Brian play nice !!!! These are some really good people and my buds
Sean I do not have ESP, BMW's have been my passion for along time and I have tracked all them but my 740 for obvious reasons. I have a lot of experience with these cars from when they were new to the track and had to go through all the R&D then.
I do find that the older I get the faster I was, lol.
another thing Sean forgets to tell you is I am huge cynic and practical joker.
as far as the car goes right now it weighs in at 2450, so yeah about the same as Juan and Sean in a side by side gokart. I am hoping after my panels get installed after PBIR to get around 2300, which is about the same as a Sodi kart with Peter Bekkers Ego in the seat
Brian looks to be quite the character, can't wait to meet him. I'm also curious to see what the track-Nostradamus predicts my M will turn in at PBIR :)
Nostradamus says a 1:33 at PBIR for you in your E46 M3, maybe a 1:42 with a good tail wind down the straight. I will still have my big steel bumpers on at this event if you want me to give you a little bump draft.
with all seriousness this track is very easy and there should not be a huge spread in lap times between an intermediate and advanced driver here (in comparison to HMS or SIR)
after your 1st session and you are familiar with the track look for me, I will tell you the 3-4 things you need to nail this track.
Do tell... I have been there a dozen times and I can use some tips.
I would also add, prepare to rotate your front tires half way through. PBIR is murder on front left tires.
All
Anyone want to take sides Juan will get the John Deer hat next weekend
New Ride Lots of BHP and long long radiuses
mitch its more than murder on the front left tire last time i was there we killed my left lower control arm bushing !
Hey, what little faith you have in your student, old teacher... No John Deer hat for me thank you very much, too bad "Pimp Softly" isn't coming, he loves that hat!
You're such a liar Juan. You already have that John Deer hat packed and ready to go for the track XD

WTH? Did I draw the short straw or something??? I'll show all of you at the TRACK!!! :-D
All
In order to have the first timers with PCA that have experiance elevated to Solo status you will need a check ride by a senior Instructor.
Mike Grant has asked me to give him a list to save time to place you with a senior instructor form the begining of the day to get you to Solo post the check out ride.
please send me youre driving bio
Thats a great Idea Sean.
And remember, PCA requires you to have your car tech'd BEFORE the event, it is not a SELF TECH like HOD or ERME, and dont forget the medical form as well. No form, no drive.
I'm looking forward to this event, should be a great time.
so ready to drive after a long winter break! car is ready i wanna start loading the truck but its still a week away
I'm not sure how this is going to work (all of us parking together), since PBIR does not have garages. I'm going to try and get some spots by the control tower, in front of the grass. Look for my black M3 there. Lisa is bringing a TrackWeekend cake to celebrate our 1 year in existence, Juan will be wearing his John Deer hat (so look for him also). If anyone has any questions on how to get there, or where to find us, give me a call: 904-599-2569
Sean,
Roll bar is looking good!! No turning back now!!
(yeah, I was up at Rene's today)
Mitch
No wonder he did not get done what I wanted on my list
Carlos and all
Just to the left of the tower is the only quad ac box Mike is going to place his trailer there as we need ac for tv and compresors etc
Just to left of this is where you will find me and hopefully all of you Look for the banner
Hey guys, I'm bring one of those 10'x10' canopies so we can have some shade during the day. I heard that Mr. Brian Jacobs will be my instructor, I'm looking forward to some proper instuction :-) ...btw, after all this trash talking, somebody better bring me a "John Deere" hat or I'm going to be pissed!
Listen if you need a John Deere hat with me in the car our pre track interview is going to be a little longer than I had originally planned for, be there at 5:00am!I am trying to think about what to cook, maybe do a shrimp boil as it is easy. Could bring the smoker out and let it go all day, but that is a little labor intensive. Caja China could be fun, but again a pain in the ass. hmmmm.btw, one of the few things I love as much as cars is cooking!
Not to worry Brian, no grass cutting for me, they're just mad cuz I'm faster! :-) Btw, your cooking plans sound great, but a little complicated. I thought we were just going to grill up some things and enjoy some cake. Hey Sean, you're bringing a grill, right???Do you think there is room for the canopy I'm bringing???
All
Mike Grant is bringing the grill, I am taking care fo the Propane
Its a comunity grill Shade is a good idea!
Brian I think dear old Dad is playing pasture pool most of the day so I am safe.......
I am not responsable for Juans wardrobe
Damn, I guess I need to get the engine running and a gearbox in the car. Fuel tank went in yesterday. Oh yeah, I need tires. hmmmm what else.
Everyone, this event is almost here and like you, I'm very excited. I'd like to try and get all of us to park relatively close to one another. When you get there, look to the left of the tower for Sean's silver M3 and the TrackWeekend banner. I'll also be there with my black M3, and Juan in his maroon Camaro (and John Deer hat/shirt combo & overalls).
Brian, besides prepping your car, don't forget you mentioned you were going to cook for us all :)
Thanks Carlos
One correction (my Fault) Look to the right of the tower to the left is where the set up tech
Reminder dont forget youre tech sheets No tech sheet no drive!
Brian since they wont let you hang laterns of of youre car to drive at night The smoked brisket sounds good
will call mike grant, maybe I will bring a PA system and we can put the race on the loud speakers, or play music.
gearbox is in the car and engine is together. Fuel tank is in. On the dyno tomorrow.
Brian
Does youre board take RCA,1/4 inch phone jack or or Canon Connector The outut is line level unbalanced
Jaimie
Today's the day. You can load the car
If anyone has any questions or problems I will be leaving south Fort Lauderdale from 5:30 am on tomorow please call me at 954-444-9374
Sean. not sure what a canon connector is but will accept 1/4 and RCA. If you can bring a long RCA to go from Satelite receiver to board. then we just run a single video RCA to TV. then again you have a PHD in this so I will shut up and follow your lead!
car is running as of 8:00 last night, off to the Dyno in a few (come on 12.5)
FYI, There will be Drag Racing going on Sat. as well. I'll probably head over later in the evening watch some drags as well...
There are also Mud Bogs going on, but I went last time, and it sucked.
Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone tomorrow.
OK, All loaded up and ready to go! Sean, I'll call you in the morning so I can set up next to you...& you can remind me where that gas station is.
Hey Guys,
Here's a vid from the weekend. Fun time chasing Sean for a few laps.

"it was good to see and meet the fine people that were just posts on a forum.... the morning was so confusing and it took forever to just get in I have not seen this with PCA in the past and hopefully not again" Cake and Champagne at the end of the day !! How do we top that next time
So this is what we're looking to do at this event....
Several of you want to meet for dinner, and I know that PCA and Sean usually have a pot-luck at the end of the event. So, in celebration of TW's 1-year anniversary, I'd like to join them in the pot-luck, Lisa will be bringging a TW birthday cake for us, and we can all have dinner at the track. Does this sound good to everyone? (back on top) :)
